Solution

NBN was a controversial decision made by the government, especially in terms of how tax payers money was spent. Unfortunately, in some cases they made some wrong decisions hence why the project FTTN to FTTP came alive. Universal Communications Group (UCG) is one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading suppliers of a range of broadband design, cabling and construction services, particularly for next generation cable networks. UCG was one of the three major contractors to win this tender directly from NBN. Since Techs4best is involved in various projects on the NBN network, we were in a great position to offer a turnkey solution to UCG. As part of this solution, Techs4best scoped, rod and roped, hauled and terminated fibre optics at both the joints and at the customer premises. At the final stage, we tested and handed over 4 different zones that were due for an upgrade to FTTP. With more and more projects coming about on the Telecommunications network, it seems we may cross paths with UCG once again on other projects in the near future.
